An African high fantasy, written in sand and fire.
Empires rise where rivers bend and fall where the desert wins. In ATOBAS, kings keep their thrones by bargains with ancestors, and every bargain is paid for in blood.
It is a story first, and a game you step into: a world of storytellers, warriors, spirits and sand, built to stand beside the great fantasy worlds, and to be unmistakably its own.
What waits in the sand
A world with its own gods
Ancestor spirits, desert oracles and river kingdoms drawn from African storytelling traditions, not borrowed from someone else's map.
Choices that cost something
Every oath, alliance and victory has a price. What you win, and what you spill to win it, shapes who you become.
A story you can enter
ATOBAS begins as a tale and grows into a playable game, so the people who follow it early help shape where it goes.
